Due to pickleball continuing to be a fast-growing sport nationwide, Trophy Club’s pickleball community has notably increased within recent years, according to a press release.
"Our pickleball community has proven how passionate they are for the sport, and I have no doubt this new amenity will be enjoyed by our existing pickleball players in addition to introducing new players to the sport,” Trophy Club Director of Parks and Recreation Tony Jaramillo said.
Harmony Park pickleball players share two blended-lines courts with tennis players. The four new courts will replace the shared courts for pickleball players and revert the shared courts back to tennis players.
The project has an estimated cost of $300,000 and will be paid for with money from the park dedication funds.
After a soil survey can be conducted, the estimated timeline for the project is around six to eight weeks, according to Jaramillo.
