With home football games starting Aug. 29, Keller ISD officials have released game-day guidelines at Keller ISD stadium.

In a nutshell

According to a district news release:
  • All tickets will be sold online only through Brushfire, KISD's e-ticket vendor.
  • No outside food, drinks, backpacks, sports balls or Yeti-type drink containers are allowed.
  • Parents requiring bags or backpacks for the needs of young children or infants will be allowed to bring those items into the stadium.
  • Fans are not permitted to spray or throw objects during the game, including baby powder, confetti or water. Additionally, no artificial noisemakers—such as horns—are permitted.
  • If a fan leaves the stadium, they will be required to purchase a new ticket to re-enter. At the beginning of the fourth quarter, there is no entry into the stadium for any reason.
Parking and entrances

According to the news release, home-side parking is located on the west side of the KISD Athletics Complex and in the overflow lot northwest of the stadium next to the tennis courts. Visitor parking is located on the east side of the stadium and in the overflow lot northwest of the stadium.

The news release states that home fans must enter the stadium on the home-side gates. Visiting fans must enter the stadium on the two visitor-side gates. There is no fan crossover from the visitor side to the home side, or vice versa, permitted during any event.

The news release also notes a few more rules and regulations regarding field access. They include:
  • No unsupervised students or children are allowed access to the game field, sidelines, track area or behind the end zones.
  • At the end of the game, no spectators will be allowed on the field for any reason.
Tailgating

According to the news release, this year's tailgating policies for the KISD stadium include:
  • Home-side fans: Set up in the south parking lot on the home side. Guests should look for on-site signage for reference.
  • Visitor-side fans: Set up along the eastern edge of the visitors' parking lot along Rufe Snow Drive. Guests should look for on-site signage for reference.
  • All spaces are first come, first served. Tailgating spots may not be occupied before 4:30 p.m. for night games.
  • Use no more than three parking spaces.
  • If desired, the name of organizations can be placed on tailgating tables.
  • No handouts or flyers may be distributed to fans or placed on vehicles.
  • Food preparation should be limited to those invited or expect to attend tailgates.
  • Food items should not be for sale.
  • Alcohol is not allowed on any KISD property, per state law. All violators will be escorted off the property by the Keller Police Department and prosecuted to the extent of the law.
  • All trash must be cleared when leaving tailgating area, and all cooking devices must be secured.
Signage

The news release also states that signs may support a team, but signs mentioning a team's opponent will not be allowed. KISD administration will determine the proper placement of signs. No visiting team sponsorship signs will be allowed.
