Hillwood is planning to build a total of 1.3 million square feet of industrial space between two buildings in northeast Fort Worth and Northlake.

The developer of AllianceTexas, a 26,000-acre master-planned community in northeast Fort Worth, announced Aug. 8 plans to build Alliance Center North 7 at the corner of Beach Street and Litsey Road in Fort Worth. The building will span 810,908 square feet.

It also plans to construct Alliance Northport 2 in Northlake. That facility will total 459,762 square feet and be located along I-35 W. across from Texas Motor Speedway.

Both are speculative buildings and have not signed any tenants. They are located in Denton County and are expected to begin construction in September. Work is expected to be completed in mid-2020.

“Over the last 18 months, Hillwood has launched almost 6 million square feet of new industrial projects at AllianceTexas, leasing over 3 million square feet of that space while still under construction,” said Tony Creme, the senior vice president of Hillwood, in a news release. “These new buildings are a result of Hillwood’s ‘on-demand’ approach of continuously having Class-A speculative space available for immediate occupancy to meet the needs of global logistics companies seeking instant speed to market.”

On Aug. 1, Callaway Golf Co. announced plans to occupy 783,465 feet of industrial space at AllianceTexas. The company, which designs, manufactures and sells golf equipment, accessories and other lifestyle products, expects to open a distribution center in early 2020.
