The venue, called 139 Olive, also houses Kickin' It In Keller, a creative space that features a podcast studio and space for pop-up shops, where owner Ashley Stone Hernandez and her team create content and collaborate with local businesses and professionals.
In June, Hernandez said she will launch a female-focused co-sharing space Mondays through Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for women entrepreneurs to connect, work and socialize.
“We are calling it The Be Hive at 139 Olive,” Hernandez said. “We will be membership-based for coworking/co-sharing with female entrepreneurs and business owners that do anything from online retail to life coaching. They no longer have to go to the coffee shop or be stuck in their home office. We will host various workshops, social events and resources for them to thrive in their business and personal lives.”
Hernandez said the building and outdoor space will be available to host public and private events for intimate gatherings after 5 p.m. on the weekdays and the weekends.
She chose the location because she fell in love with the history and charm of Old Town.
“139 Olive was the home of the first doctor in Keller in the late 1800s,” Hernandez said. “The house has many unique details and characters we kept intact during renovations. We believe Old Town will be the next up-and-coming place to be, and we wanted to be part of why you visit the area and experience what Keller has to offer.”
Hernandez said she is grateful to call Keller her home and her place of business.
“It is our pleasure to create opportunities for these experiences of connection and community,” Hernandez said. “We all need it, and we are thankful to the Keller community for supporting our vision with Kickin' It In Keller and 139 Olive.”
