A portion of Colleyville’s Bluebonnet Drive is temporarily closed for street maintenance.

What’s happening?

Resurfacing of Colleyville’s Bluebonnet Drive began Aug. 28. The portion from Hall-Johnson Road to Glade Road is closed with only local traffic allowed, according to project details.

Work is expected to be completed by mid-September, weather permitting. Drivers should expect delays during construction hours.

The backstory

Bluebonnet Drive is one five roads getting a facelift through an agreement with Tarrant County. Colleyville partners with the county annually to perform street maintenance work, according to city documents.

The five road segments approved for rehabilitation and resurfacing are:
  • Bluebonnet Drive from West Glade to Riverwalk Drive
  • North Timberline Drive from Bransford Road to South Timberline Drive
  • South Timberline Drive from Bransford Road to North Timberline Drive
  • Tinker Road from Pleasant Run Road to 70 feet east of Kingston Drive
  • Roberts Road from Glade Road to 175 feet south of Fox Meadows Drive
Work on Roberts Road has been completed. Construction for North Timberline Drive and South Timberline Drive is expected to begin this fall, Colleyville Assistant City Manager Adrienne Lothery said.
