The intersection of Glade Road and Bluebonnet Drive in Colleyville has closed as the city continues its safety improvement project.

Construction Manager Corey Lawson said the project is expected to be completed in six months.

Lawson said the intersection work is separate from Phase 2 of the safety improvement project as it has federal grant funding. The city received grant funding to lower the elevation of Bluebonnet Drive to eliminate the three-way stop signs, according to the city’s website.

Phase 2 of the Glade Road reconstruction project extends from Stafford Drive to Montclair Drive. Contractors are placing the final asphalt surface on the north side of Glade Road to Pool Drive, Lawson said.
