Grapevine council approves special use permit for Fellowship Church expansion

Annamarie Taylor, a project representative working for Kimley-Horn, said the worship center will be around 30,000 square feet. The project is part of the Anchor Center, according to Fellowship Church’s website.

The center is meant to serve families and the next generation as a hub for worship, sports, community events and more, according to a news release from the church.

"This is more than a building—it’s a lifeline for the next generation," said Ed Young, pastor of Fellowship Church. "In a culture where so many are drifting, we’re creating a place where people can be anchored in Christ."

Additional improvements included as part of the project are a new driveway extending from SH 121 to connect to a drop-off and pick-up area for the new structure and landscaping in the baptistry area, per town documents. To complete the project, 54 parking spaces will be removed from the northern lot near SH 121, leaving 2,191 parking spaces for the property, which meets city requirements.

What else?

The estimated cost for the Anchor Center is $30 million, per the news release. A groundbreaking for the project is currently scheduled for this summer.
