Council approved a shared fiber internet crossing for the city of Grapevine and Grapevine-Colleyville ISD in conjunction with DART.
The agreement with DART is for a right-of-way at Baylor Parkway and Ira E. Woods intersection. The city will have four-inch steel pipe casings under the train tracks. One casing will be for the city’s use and the other for the school district's, according to city documents.
The cost to DART will be $3,670, which will include annual adjustments, according to the city memo to council.
Long story short
Council also approved a contract with ShowClix Private Label Ticketline Software from Nortap Technology for $75,000.
The system will allow the CVB to sell tickets online for Grapevine Vintage Railroad, Main Street Fest, GrapeFest, Nash Farm Events, Palace Arts Center Events as well as all other events throughout the year. In addition, the system will provide detailed reporting and event analysis based on ticket sales, according to city documents.
The annual license fee will include complimentary tickets and the CVB will be charged 50 cents per ticket on all paid tickets sold in excess of 200,000 on an annual basis, according to city documents.
