City of Colleyville officials will hold a meeting Oct. 21 to allow residents to give their input on the potential expansion of the Colleyville Recreation Center, according to a release from the city.

The details

City officials will present possible concepts of the expansion at the meeting and ask questions on different aspects of each idea, the release states.

The meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m at the Colleyville Recreation Center, located at 5008 Roberts Road.

The backstory

The Colleyville Rec Center opened Aug. 27 and is free to all Colleyville residents. The two-story facility, which used to be a church, has been retrofitted to include two gyms, seven multipurpose classrooms and a game room.

According to previous Community Impact reporting, Colleyville City Council will consider placing a referendum on the May 2025 ballot asking Colleyville citizens to vote for an expansion.

Some expansion options include a weight room, treadmills, an indoor walking track, an outdoor walking track or a children's park.
