Colleyville residents will receive $35 gift cards to use at the participating Colleyville restaurants or commercial retail stores this summer.

Council approved the gift cards, which were discussed in closed session in a May 21 meeting, according to the agenda.

Each household in Colleyville will start getting the patriotic-themed gift card starting on June 21, according to the city. Gift cards will be used at local businesses and then the city will reimburse the businesses at the end of the program, according to a city email. The city did a similar program last summer.
