Why are you running for office?
To continue representing the citizens and businesses of Grapevine, and protect and support our community that many people have spent decades creating: the city and way of life we all love and enjoy today.
What are the biggest challenges facing the city?
To maintain our low property tax rate, we must continue attracting high-quality developments and businesses that generate sales tax. We must continue supporting and protecting our neighborhoods and strive to provide high quality amenities for our citizens.
How do you plan to address these issues?
Continue wise and conservative spending of taxpayer dollars, remain easily accessible to citizens and businesses, and work with our professional city staff to support the high quality performance they provide.
What would your top priorities be if you are elected?
Maintain or lower our tax rate—Grapevine has the lowest in Texas for a full-service city our size! Assure high-quality economic development projects. Continue our street improvement and repair program, and support renovation of the Library and our water treatment facility. Protect our neighborhoods and continue historic preservation projects.
Jason Rash

Keeping Grapevine great: Let’s grow Grapevine’s economy with tourism, but not at the expense of our awesome parks, streets, and fantastic police and fire departments. Safety first, always.
