Bobby Lindamood has won the Colleyville mayoral race, according to unofficial results from Tarrant County.

Lindamood served as Colleyville mayor pro tem and Place 2 council member for six years and was up against David Kelly, who was the mayor of Colleyville from 2005-16.

Results show that Lindamood received 3,568, or 57.89%, of the vote, and Kelly received 2,595, or 42.11%, according to Tarrant County.

Lindamood will be replacing Richard Newton, who is the current mayor. Newton reached term limits and was not eligible to run again.

In a statement to Community Impact Newspaper, Lindamood said he appreciates everyone who voted and chose to put him in office.

“The people of Colleyville have spoke and want to continue beautifying our fabulous city,” Lindamood said. “They appreciate the lower taxes, supporting our first responders and keeping Colleyville unique.”
