Two Southlake City Council seats are up for grabs in the May 1 election. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Candidates for Southlake City Council Place 2 are Sabreena Hakemy and Randy Robbins. Hakemy is an entrepreneur and has served on the Zoning Board of Adjustment for the city of Southlake for two terms. Robbins is a physician and has served on the Community Engagement Committee, GRACE board of directors and Southlake Young Life Committee.

Candidates for Southlake City Council Place 5 are Amy Torres-Lepp and Elisha Rurka. Torres-Lepp is the founder and CEO of Texas Excel Title and has served on the Southlake Planning & Zoning Commission. Rurka is a mother of students currently enrolled in Carroll ISD and has served on her homeowners association board for eight years.
