The backstory
According to a district news release, Fuentes began her 22-year education career as an ESL teacher in Dallas ISD. Following her tenure in Dallas ISD, she served in the following positions:
- Educational diagnostician in DeSoto ISD
- Special education coordinator in Irving ISD
- Assistant director, director and executive director of special services in College Station ISD
- “From her time as a teacher to leading a district in special services, Lindsey has garnered a variety of experiences that enhance her leadership,” Superintendent Brad Schnautz said. “We look forward to the valuable contributions she will make in shaping a brighter future for our students and community.”
- “I'm excited to be joining the Grapevine-Colleyville ISD community,” Fuentes said. “I’m dedicated to ensuring all students are afforded the best possible conditions to reach their full potential, and I look forward to working closely with the dedicated staff, parents and community members to create an environment where every student can thrive.”
- Bachelor of Science in Education from Baylor University
- Master of Science in Special Education from Texas A&M Commerce
- Master of Education in Educational Administration from the University of North Texas at Dallas
