Carroll ISD is beginning the 2024-25 school year by announcing the new Carroll Business Academy, which will provide unique business education experiences for students with support from local business leaders and residents.
The details
According to a district news release, the Carroll Business Academy features an entrepreneurship curriculum with learning opportunities from industry experts. Volunteers are sought in three key areas:
- Mentors: 10-15 volunteers needed to provide strategic guidance and wisdom to student teams with weekly communication
- Guest speakers/coaches: 16 volunteers needed who are subject matter experts to teach in the Entrepreneurship 1 class
- Pitch event board of advisers: 3-5 volunteers needed to evaluate student teams and provide strategic business advice at key pitch events
