On Tuesday night, Southlake City Council members approved a site plan for Delta Southlake Center, a 15.872-acre development at the southeast corner of North White Chapel and SH 114 in Southlake.

Developers said the development will be built in two phases. The first phase will consist of a six-story, full-service Delta Marriott hotel on 6.28 acres that will feature 240 rooms, a restaurant with a dining area and lounge, a bar, a business center, a fitness center and a conference center that contains a 6,000-square-foot ballroom at minimum.

Next month, council members are expected to hear a site plan for a Hotel Indigo, which, if approved, will be located across from the Delta Marriott hotel on the other side of SH 114 in the Carillon development.

Carillon project manager Jeff Kennemore wrote in opposition of the Delta Marriott, stating, "The proximity of the hotel is too close to the hotel being built across the street on the Carillon site."

Phase 2 will include two multistory office buildings with retail, one multistory office building and a three-story parking garage with four levels of parking, and parking on the roof will be available.
