Kyle and Sarah Reynolds held a grand opening for their business, The Cookie Bar, Nov. 8 in Colleyville.

What they offer

The Cookie Bar gives customers the chance to make their own custom cookies and custard creations, Sarah said in an email.

Cookie bases include chocolate chip, peanut butter, cookie butter, lemon and honey sugar. Buttercreams and cream cheese frostings are available and homemade caramel, hot fudge, peanut butter, Nutella and marshmallow drizzles are also options. Topping choices include Oreo crumbs, sprinkles, toffee, streusel and cinnamon sugar.

Customers can also make custom cookie/frozen custard sandwiches as well as cookie and frozen custard sundaes.

“All of the cookies are made from scratch daily, are large and thick and served warm,” Sarah said. “Our recipes were all created by us and meticulously tested to have a balanced but mind-blowing flavor that isn’t overly sweet with a soft, rich center and a slightly crisp exterior.”

Quote of note

Sarah said she and Kyle chose Colleyville as the location for their sweet shop because the city is known to support local businesses and they want to have ties to their community.

“There are also not many dessert options in this area of Colleyville and we think this is a place with good opportunities for that,” Sarah said. “We chose this location specifically because ... there are several restaurants in the vicinity and Colleyville Boulevard is a main arterial street in Colleyville with good traffic numbers.”
