During the Aug. 20 Grapevine City Council meeting, a conditional use permit for the retail store was on the agenda to reduce off-street parking requirements. The request was withdrawn and a letter from the company said it was due to lease termination, according to city documents.
Floor & Decor was expected to open in spring 2025, where LA Fitness was formerly located.
The hard-surface flooring retailer was set to move into a 71,461-square-foot building. A filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows an estimated cost of $8.4 million for renovations and expansion.
Floor & Decor sells tile, natural stone, wood, luxury and laminate vinyl plank, tools, wall tile, decorative materials and accessories for hard-surface flooring projects, according to the company website.
