Here is a list of the five most popular Community Impact business updates from Grapevine, Colleyville and Southlake based on website traffic in 2022.

1. Stranger Things Store to open in Grapevine Mills

The Stranger Things Store opened in Grapevine Mills shopping mall May 25. Based on the hit Netflix series, the store features some of the show's most iconic locations while offering merchandise and activities inside, according to the mall's website.

Located at 3000 Grapevine Mills Parkway, Grapevine, visitors can check out the lockers of Hawkins High, answer the yellow phone at Joyce's house, play games at the Palace Arcade and come face to face with the Demogorgon. According to its website, the Stranger Things Store previously had pop-up locations in New York and Los Angeles.

2. Snooty Pig Cafe closes Grapevine location


Snooty Pig Cafe, located at 4010 William D. Tate Ave., Grapevine, closed in February, according to a note taped to the cafe’s door. The cafe, which was one of three Snooty Pig locations in DFW, served a variety of breakfast and lunch items, such as omelets, sandwiches and pancakes. The Grapevine location was closed down due to leasing agreement disputes, according to the posted note. The cafe will operate out of the Highland Village Snooty Pig location, located at 2940 Justin Road, while owners “strategize a swift return back to the Grapevine/Colleyville area,” according to the note.

3. EVO Entertainment center to open in Southlake Town Square

An EVO Entertainment center, located at 1450 Plaza Place in Southlake Town Square, opened March 11. The 70,000-square-foot entertainment center contains seven dine-in movie theaters, a rock-climbing wall, bumper cars, an arcade, virtual reality gaming, bowling lanes and more, according to EVO’s website.

4. Multiacre waterpark, hotel will add 'jewel in Grapevine’s crown’


Grapevine City Council approved zoning for an entertainment and attraction area for the Stand Rock Resort and Water Park at its Oct. 18 meeting. The Grapevine Water Park Resort will be located at 3509 N. Grapevine Mills Blvd., next to Kubota Drive and along SH 121.

The resort will have 661 rooms, a 95,000-square-foot indoor water park and a 2-acre outdoor water park.

“This is a really exciting project,” Council Member Sharron Rogers said. “We’ve been working on this, as a city, for several years now. It will be another jewel in Grapevine’s crown, and I look forward to seeing it come to fruition.”

5. Brandy Melville to open in Southlake


The European clothing and fashion accessories brand Brandy Melville opened in Southlake Town Square in September, according to an Oct. 4 news release. The store is located at 302 Grand Ave. W., between Anthropologie and Sephora. Brandy Melville offers women’s tops, pants, dresses, accessories and more.
