Previously known as Heritage Table, the Impractical Sandwich is a pandemic-era pop-up stand that provides gourmet sandwiches to deli aficionados. Due to the rising numbers of COVID-19 cases in the community, the restaurant decided to change its name and operate as a food truck instead, calling this transformation a “culinary evolution” with a “sandwich conclusion.” The truck has been open at 7110 Main St. since Dec. 3 and is still a work in progress; some of the recipes have been altered in recent weeks based on customer feedback and chef creativity, which is chronicled on the restaurant’s Facebook page. 469-664-0100.
