Frisco families now have another option for library services.

CONNECTION inside the Hyatt Regency at Stonebriar Mall held a soft opening on Jan. 5. Guests have access to a children's book collection, public computers, internet access, a book locker and library expertise on site.

Library Director Shelley Holley told Frisco City Council on Jan. 5 that the new facility has a sizable children’s area and will be a benefit for families looking for certain books to check out.

“Families that are looking to let their kids pick out what they want, I would suggest they try CONNECTION as a secondary location,” Holley said. “There's free Wi-Fi. There are public computers and specialty computers for children—and, of course, library expertise.”

The library’s passport application acceptance facility will be moving to CONNECTION at some time in the future, she said.

Hours are Tuesday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 2615 Preston Road, Ste. 100. Occupancy is temporarily limited to 16 people due to state COVID-19 restrictions.
