Frisco hospitals plan to expand their facilities and grow their offerings in the coming years and have already made headway on some projects. Below is a roundup of some projects underway or recently completed at Frisco hospitals.

1. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Centennial

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Centennial was recently recognized as a high-performing hospital by U.S. News & World Report’s 2022-23 Best Hospitals listings for maternity, heart attack and heart failure care. The hospital also plans to open a newly renovated, state-of-the-art catheterization lab in January, according to a representative of the hospital. The lab will facilitate cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures. Additionally, Centennial also opened an advanced heart care clinic through a partnership with Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital-Plano.

2. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Frisco

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Frisco celebrated its 20-year anniversary serving the Frisco community in 2022. The hospital also recently completed renovations to its Women’s Center, where hundreds of babies are delivered annually. In 2023, the hospital plans to add its fourth robotic surgical system to advance its surgical care capabilities, according to a representative of the hospital.

3. Medical City Frisco

Medical City Frisco began accepting patients at its new patient tower Dec. 13. The $91 million recently completed project features 118,500 square feet of space, 36 additional patient beds and two floors. Additional project features include large patient rooms, a spacious waiting area, additional parking and a new EMS entrance. Medical City Frisco also recently received a Level III designation for its neonatal intensive care unit. The hospital is the first and only in Frisco to receive this designation, according to a news release.

4. Texas Health Frisco

Texas Health Frisco broke all previous records for total number of surgeries, patients stays and emergency room visits at the hospital during December 2022, according to a representative for the hospital. Over the summer, Texas Health opened a sixth treatment floor, featuring 20 additional patient rooms and a dedicated Intensive Care Unit. The floor also includes two new operating suites, bringing the hospital’s total up to eight, according to a representative for the hospital. The hospital also added a bariatrics surgical treatment line and interventional cardiac care.
