Frisco residents could see construction on Hillcrest Road start sometime in June.

Frisco City Council members unanimously approved a $5.88 million bond-funded contract for construction on Hillcrest Road during a May 21 meeting.

The breakdown

Construction will focus on Hillcrest Road, which runs between Panther Creek Parkway and PGA Parkway, and complete it as a four-lane roadway by adding two southbound lanes in two sections:
  • Alviria Drive to PGA Parkway
  • Santiago Road to Aragon Lane

Slated to start in June, the approximately nine-month project will include storm drain improvements, street lighting, striping, median landscaping and irrigation, according to meeting documents.

There is a $375,000 contingency fee included in the project cost to address field changes or adjust quantities during construction.
