Frisco City Council members unanimously approved multiple amendments to the city’s landscape requirement ordinance during a March 19 meeting.

Frisco’s development services department staff members discovered some provisions were in need of an update during a formal review, according to meeting documents. The formal review is one piece of the department's five-year strategic plan for 2023-27.
Changes include fixing grammar, inconsistencies, inaccuracies; removing or introducing new requirements; and providing clarity.
“I think this is a long time coming in the background,” council member John Keating said.
Here are some examples of the changes, according to meeting documents:
- Adding references to some graphics
- Removing confusing graphics
- Reformatting existing information
- Including simplified definitions
