The details
Richardson received 6,835 votes, representing 67.64% of votes cast.
Incumbent Frederick Frazier received 32.36% of votes cast, totaling 3,270 votes.
Over 10,100 Collin County voters cast a vote in the race, representing about 1.4% of the county’s total registered voters.

Keresa Richardson is leading the Texas House of Representatives, District 61 runoff race for the Republican bid ahead of incumbent Frederick Frazier, according to unofficial early voting results from Collin County Elections.
The details
Richardson leads with 68.58%, or 5,083 votes, over Frazier’s 2,329 votes on the Republican ticket.
Over 7,400 Collin County voters cast a vote in the race during early voting, representing roughly 1.03% of the county’s total registered voters.
How we got here
The race moved to a runoff election following the March primary election, where none of the three candidates received a majority of the roughly 18,200 votes cast.
Richardson received 39.75% of the votes cast in that election and Frazier received 32.09% of votes cast. Opponent Chuck Branch received 28.16% of votes cast and did not advance to the runoff election.
