Frisco Station will soon have a medical office building—a first step into creating the Frisco Station Health and Wellness District.

The developers behind Frisco Station broke ground on an 85,800-square-foot-facility that will hold a three-story medical office building, according to an April 29 press release. The building was developed by the Dallas-based healthcare and mixed-use developer Cambridge Holdings Inc..

“Cambridge brings a forward-thinking approach to health and wellness-related development that will help realize our vision for the medical experience inside the Frisco Station Health and Wellness District,” said Trey Sibley, general manager of The Rudman Partnership, a Frisco Station partner, in the release. “With Cambridge, and its high-caliber tenants, we’ll take a further step toward Frisco Station becoming a globally recognized smart, creative and healthy mixed-use neighborhood.”

Frisco Station’s Health and Wellness District will be built within 35 acres of the mixed-use development.

Anchor tenants for the building are Compass Surgical Partners, Orthopedic Institute of North Texas and Lam Vascular & Associates. Additional tenants include Elite Imaging and physicians specializing in interventional radiology, OB-GYN and orthopedic spine treatments, the release stated.

“Our team at Cambridge is excited to play a leading role in establishing the health and wellness component at the award-winning Frisco Station development,” said Jean-Claude Saada, Cambridge chairman and CEO, in the release. “The continued growth in Frisco and North Texas overall has created an increasing demand for healthcare services, including hospitals, medical office buildings and specialized care. Cambridge’s thoughtfully developed projects streamline outpatient care, enabling more precise diagnoses, more effective treatments, better patient experience and faster recoveries.”
