Frisco Planning & Zoning Commission members approved a site plan to add a temporary building to PISD’s Bill Hays Middle School during their June 27 meeting. This would bring the total number of temporary buildings to nine, according to meeting documents. The buildings will be located at the northwest corner of Hillcrest Drive and Aragon Lane.
Looking back
Bill Hays Middle School addition plans came up at a commission meeting a few months earlier as part of discussions surrounding a new PISD elementary school and new city park nearby.
Commission members had also approved a site plan for four temporary buildings in April 2022, bringing the number on campus already from four to eight. The need for a ninth was outlined in a letter from a PISD representative and approved by the building official, according to meeting documents.
The building addition is expected to be discussed further at future commission meetings. More information about upcoming commission meetings can be found on the city’s public calendar.
