Frisco hosts town hall meeting


The city of Frisco will host a town hall meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at the George A. Purefoy Municipal Center, 6101 Frisco Square Blvd. City staff will present information regarding a dog park expansion, building a skate park, completing a bicycle pump track and the new iHeartFrisco campaign. Frisco Station breaks ground


Frisco Station, a 242-acre mixed-use development within Frisco’s $5 Billion Mile, will break ground Tuesday. As the largest of the four $5 Billion Mile developments, Frisco Station is planned to have more than 5 million square feet of office space, 500,000 square feet of health and wellness commercial space, more than 2,000 urban living units and 550,000 square feet of dining, retail and entertainment space. Frisco City Council to vote on amending Toyota Stadium lease


Frisco City Council will vote on whether to amend a lease agreement with Toyota Stadium during its regular meeting Tuesday. The lease for FC Dallas to use Toyota Stadium, which is owned by the city, was first amended last year when FC Dallas presented plans to renovate the stadium. The renovations include making room to house the National Soccer Hall of Fame onsite. The proposed lease amendment includes increasing FC Dallas’ additional rent rate from $1 million to $1.05 million per year.

Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children breaks ground


The hospital will break ground on its 345,000-square-foot ambulatory care center in Frisco on Wednesday. The facility, which will be called the Scottish Rite Hospital North Campus, will offer clinic visits and day surgeries for children with orthopedic conditions.
