From single-family residential neighborhoods to mixed-use development projects with retail, residential and entertainment elements—there are several developments in progress in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

Here are seven stories you may have missed from Community Impact's coverage areas.

Prosper could see new 221-home neighborhood

Prosper Planning and Zoning commissioners unanimously approved a preliminary plat for a 90-acre housing development, located on the east side of Legacy Drive and south of Frontier Parkway. The development would bring 221 single-family homes and 16 open space and common areas.

Armstrong Hills development receives Keller council approval after several delays


The developer, Holmes Builders, will develop 49 residential lots along with several tracts of green space. The developer documents state homes in Armstrong Hills would be at least 3,000 square feet and start at a price tag of $2.4 million.

Celina officials plan for 130 more homes in the city

The Mesa Verde property is about 40 acres at the southeast corner of Celina Parkway and County Road 59. The plans include 130 single-family lots, several acres of open space and a 2.7-acre amenity center.

The Links on PGA Parkway in Frisco to house nearly 2,000 residents by 2027


The last two phases of construction are underway for The Links on PGA Parkway, which broke ground May 28. These last phases of construction will provide an additional 620 units and 815 underground parking spaces. Amenities at the complex include pools, clubhouses, a fitness center, a grab-and-go market, golf simulator and more.

Mixed-use development Liberty Commons earns approval from Southlake City Council

A mixed-use development with five commercial buildings and 14 single-family houses will be coming to Southlake. The approved development plan will have four office buildings and one restaurant along West Southlake Boulevard.

Furst Ranch Chapter 380 Agreement gains Flower Mound council approval


In an effort to attract businesses into the Furst Ranch mixed-use development, Flower Mound council members have approved an agreement to allow town dollars to be awarded as grants to prospective businesses. Furst Ranch will have up to 3,000 single-family homes, up to 6,000 multi-family units with up to 1,000 being age-restricted dwellings. The project will also include more than 404 acres of park land, trails and open space.

Silo Crossing to bring 325 homes to Celina in $27.5M development

When complete, Silo Crossing will span about 130 acres and include 325 single family lots. About 20 acres are being set aside for open space in the development. No multifamily housing is proposed in the project. However, there is space set aside for townhomes and commercial development.
