1. Crav Co.


The Dallas-based candle company Crav Co. now has a Frisco location. The store, which celebrated its grand opening in The Star on Dec. 13, sells candles and scented products such as room sprays, diffuser oils, scent diffusers and more. Crav Co. was founded in 2021 in Dallas, where its flagship store still operates, according to the company’s website.2. The Little Gym of Frisco-Stonebriar

The business is a national franchise offering noncompetitive gymnastics classes and imaginative play for children 4 months-12 years old. Classes include parent-child sessions, pre-K level classes and grade school level classes, according to its website.3. Mister Guns


The store both buys and sells firearms. Specific offerings include handguns, gun accessories and engraving, knives, silencers and ammunition. The store handles all of its finger printing and forms in-house, store manager Grant Daggett said. While there is a shooting range at one of the Mister Guns locations in Plano, the new Frisco store is only retail-only space.4. Prism Bar & Grill

The new restaurant moved into the space left vacant by Freaky Taco when it closed in January. Prism Bar & Grill also has an extensive bar menu with multiple beer, mocktail and cocktail offerings.Coming soon

5. Ace Pickleball Club

The pickleball club offers members multiple cushioned courts for every skill level, according to the Ace Pickleball Club website. Players can reserve courts or walk in for unscheduled open play as well as take part in clinics, tournaments, social mixers and more.6. Burning Rice


The Korean BBQ eatery’s menu features signature bowls including crispy chicken, bulgogi and pan seared tofu. A build-your-own bowl is also available. Shareable options are chicken bites, pork belly, sweet glazed wings and more.7. Croix Bakehouse

After operating out of the Frisco Fresh Market, Croix Bakehouse will have its own storefront in The Shops at Starwood. The bakery, owned by siblings Rodrigo Morales and Alexandra Morales, will not operate its stall in the market to focus its efforts on the new storefront, Alexandra said in an email. A variety of menu items will be offered at the store including sourdough bread, focaccia, croissants, pastries, cookies and more, she said.8. Functional Beginnings

The business offers a comprehensive, holistic healthcare approach for women aged 18 and older, according to its website. Aaron said she is actively booking new patients for when the practice opens in mid-January.9. Premium Matcha Cafe Maiko

The cafe serves Japanese Matcha with ingredients imported directly from Japan. It offers matcha tea, shaved ice, soft serve ice cream and other specialty treats. The cafe also features Hojicha in hot and cold drinks.10. Spicy Vihaar


The restaurant will serve authentic Indian cuisine, a representative said in an email. Dishes will feature South Indian flavors and include meals such as curries and dosas, according to statements on the restaurant’s social media page. The restaurant is expected to open sometime in January, but an exact date is still unknown, the representative said. A website is not yet available.

11. Sri Krishna Vilas

The restaurant will offer a vegetarian menu of South Indian cuisine including curries served with rice and thalis, a traditional and complete meal including a variety of dishes served on a single platter.Relocations

12. Centre for Musical Minds

The new school, located at 7884 Preston Road, is still close to its old space, which was located at 8000 Preston Road. The new space is slightly bigger than the old one and has an extra studio, staff member Rhonda Brooks said. Centre for Musical Minds is a music lesson and instruction school first founded in 2008 that offers vocal and piano lessons to students 5 years and older and adults at any skill level, according to its website.In the news


13. Centennial Pediatrics

Centennial Pediatrics has been acquired by Children’s Health. The acquisition, which occurred in November, enhances access to comprehensive and coordinated care for families in the region’s growing pediatric population, said a representative from Children’s Health. Families will also benefit from the additional resources and expertise of Children’s Health.14. Town & Country Roofing

The Frisco roofing and construction company celebrated its 20-year anniversary in November. Town & Country Roofing offers a variety of construction and renovation services, including roof repair and replacement, storm damage restoration, commercial roofing work, window installation, and gutter installation.15. Vintage Stock

The Movie Trading Co. store in Frisco will now be known as Vintage Stock going forward. The name change became official on Dec. 30, a staff member said. The name Movie Trading Co. was for the Vintage Stock company’s Dallas-Fort Worth locations after the company acquired them from Blockbuster, according to its website.Closures


16. City Works Eatery & Pour House

The restaurant first opened in Frisco in 2017. It is a restaurant and sports bar with multiple beer, cocktail, brunch and dinner menu offerings. The restaurant chain’s other location in Fort Worth will remain open, according to a company statement posted on social media. The Fort Worth location is the only other City Works in Texas, according to its website.
