The veteran-owned shop features Freedom Hill Coffee and The Skirted Soldier tea products.

Pokeworks to open build-your-own poke restaurant in Southlake this summer

Pokeworks, a fast-casual restaurant serving Hawaiian-inspired poke, will be opening a location in Southlake in June.

Customers can create their own poke bowl, poke burrito, or poke salad with a wide variety of proteins, sauces and toppings to choose from.

Keller-Roanoake-Northeast Fort Worth

Laid-back dining and entertainment venue Truck Yard under construction in Fort Worth

Construction is underway on the new Truck Yard entertainment venue and beer hall in Alliance Town Center.

The venue will cover 2 acres of indoor and outdoor space, featuring a 38-foot Ferris wheel, stages and a variety of food trucks.

Lewisville-Flower Mound-Highland Village

Flower Mound’s Makarsee Market opens, offering coffee, wine, charcuterie

Makarsee Market opened its doors in Flower Mound on April 16.

While a full menu is still in the works, the eatery serves up charcuterie plates, coffee and a broad selection of wines.

Crumbl Cookies to open its first McKinney location


A Crumbl Cookies location is coming soon to University Drive in north McKinney.

Crumbl Cookies offers a weekly rotating menu of fresh-baked cookies, such as Strawberry Poptart, Cosmic Brownie, Cinnamon Swirl and Muddy Buddy.

Hospital staff held a tree-planting ceremony April 15 to honor employees, medical staff, physicians and volunteers for their 30 years of service to the Plano community.

Rooster Town Wafflery opened April 21 in Richardson.
