Flower Mound residents interested in learning about a town service can join an academy to acquire more knowledge.

Applications are now open for the Flower Mound Fire Department’s 2024 Citizens Fire Academy, which kicks off in March.

The details

During this hands-on course, participants will get to experience the daily operations of the Flower Mound Fire Department and learn about basic first aid, hands-only CPR, fire and emergency medical services operations, live fire training, vehicle extrication, water rescue, and more, according to town officials. Most classes will be at Flower Mound's central fire station, but classes also will be held at the Denton Training Field, Lewisville Training Field and possibly stations 5 and 7, said Melissa Demmitt, communications director for the town.
