There is still time for vendors to sign up for the third annual Arts Festival in Flower Mound.
The background
The festival is scheduled for 10 a.m. Sept. 30 at Heritage Park, 600 Spinks Road. Visitors can enjoy live performances, shop artwork from local artists, add to the community mural and create art, among other activities, according to a news release from the town of Flower Mound.
Anyone signed up as a vendor for the original date in May should be hearing from town officials soon, but they may email [email protected] with questions. Also, anyone not originally signed up but now interested in becoming a vendor can email [email protected].
The details
The festival was originally scheduled for May 13 but was pushed back a few months because of impending bad weather in May. Flower Mound Communications Director Melissa Demmitt said in an email in May that the Sept. 30 date was the best available because of numerous town and community events held at Heritage Park, as well as other town special events already planned throughout the summer in other locations.
“We wanted to ensure the majority of our art vendors, performers, artists and support staff would be available on the new date and give them time to make arrangements; and just generally, art festivals are typically popular in spring and fall,” Demmitt said in the email.
