Mary Lorencz has won the race for Place 5 on Northlake Town Council.
Lorencz defeated Rena Hardeman with 54.34% of the vote, or 570 votes. Hardeman received 479 votes, or 45.66%.
A total of 1,049 residents voted in the Place 5 election, according to Denton County's voter website.

Lorencz has 55.99% of the votes, or a total of 439. Rena Hardeman has 345 votes, or 44.01%.
