District staff welcomed students through campus doors at the recently opened Jane Ruestmann Elementary school for their first day in the new campus.
The details
There are seven schools in the district including four elementary campuses, one middle school, one sixth grade center and one high school. More schools are being planned as the district experiences exponential growth.
Around 5,378 students were enrolled in 2023 in the district as of July, according to Zonda Education data. Projections indicate continued growth moving forward with 2024 enrollment estimated at 5,805 students and 6,287 students in 2025. By 2033, the district could serve around 11,000 students.
The district expected to serve 599 students at Jane Ruestmann Elementary in 2024, which serves Kindergarten through 5th grade and has an 850 student capacity, but that number will be closer to 800, per district data.
