Place 4 Frisco ISD board of trustees Anne McCausland announced she is seeking re-election to her third term in the May 6 school board election.
McCausland, a 25-year Frisco resident, was first elected to the board in 2011 and was then re-elected in 2014. Before she was elected as board president in 2014, she served as board secretary. She is also a graduate of the statewide leadership training program of the Texas Association of School Boards. McCausland has served on the board of the Frisco Education Foundation; and as president of the Frisco ISD Council of PTAs.
“Our school board is blessed to work with the best educational staff in the country, and I am proud to serve Frisco ISD’s almost-7,000 employees, on 68 campuses in four cities, helping them to know the names and needs of our 56,000 students,” McCausland said in a statement.
McCausland said the school district is going through important changes and its important for her to continue her leadership on the board.
“Frisco ISD is undergoing some important evolution right now, as our parents and stakeholders weigh in on the future direction of our schools,” McCausland said. “More than ever, I am called to stay the course, and help navigate the process and its outcomes for our teachers, our families, for FISD residents—and most importantly, for our students.”
McCausland is a native to the DFW area and graduated from Grapevine High School. She is a graduate of Baylor University. She is a registered nurse and small business owner. She and her husband, Jim have two Frisco ISD students.
