Texas native Brewer Stouffer, CEO and founder of The Roman Candle, founded the pizzeria in 2005 in Madison, Wisconsin. Now, Stouffer said he wants to bring his business to Texas.

"We would love to start a business in [Grapevine]," he said. "There are a lot of great pizzerias out there, but some of them are just dine-in and or just take out, and we are both. We bring together the old and new and create an awesome neighborhood pizzeria that is great for gatherings."

Stouffer said his pizzerias offer quality sources, handmade and farm fresh ingredients that are locally sourced.

"The fact that we are farm-to-table really sets us a part from others," he said. "Another thing that sets apart is [that] we know the farmers and the creameries that our ingredients come from. We make our dough in house and from scratch everyday."

The Roman Candle sells wings, salads, baked pasta and desserts. Stouffer said although the pizzeria offers classic pizzas, such as pepperoni and cheese, they have several specialty pizzas.

"Over half of our total sales are from our specialty pizzas," he said. "People love them. Some of them have playful names like the 'Dead Man Walking,' which is an all meat pizza, and 'The Pestoral,' which is made with pesto, basil, house blend cheese, artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, extra virgin olive oil, fresh tomatoes and feta."

Stouffer said he is actively pursuing franchisees but no deals have been signed yet.

"We are looking for foodies who want to make money and who care about giving back to the community," he said. "We also offer health insurance and retirement plans for our full-time employees."
