Brown Branch sewer line rehabilitation project
City staff is working to resolve erosion control issues at Parker and Jupiter roads as a project to replace parts of the Brown Branch sewer line take place. Crews are currently working to install a 4,450-foot sanitary sewer pipeline along Parker Road from east of Jupiter Road to east of Spring Creek Parkway. The project also includes the installation of a second 820-foot sanitary sewer line.

Independence Parkway repairs
Independence Parkway repairs[/caption]The project to repair the roadway along Independence Parkway is on schedule. Lane closures will continue to take place from Plano Parkway to West 15th Street and from Cross Bend Road to West Spring Creek Parkway. The crews will meet in the middle between 15th Street and West Parker Road where an ultrathin layer of a new, more flexible type of asphalt will be applied.

Dallas Parkway improvements
Dallas Parkway improvements[/caption]A project to add dedicated northbound and southbound right-turn lanes at Parker Road and Park Boulevard along Dallas Parkway is underway. When complete, the intersections will also feature an additional through lane to increase capacity and reduce congestion. The project also includes similar intersection improvements at Alma Drive and Spring Creek Parkway.
