Sam Rayburn Tollway widening project to last into late 2021

The North Texas Tollway Authority began a widening project throughout the Sam Rayburn Tollway in late 2018. The widening project will add an additional lane in both directions of traffic for a total of eight lanes. Construction work will primarily take place in the median of the tollway. This phase of construction spans from near the tollway’s intersection with Denton Tap Road eastward to the Dallas North Tollway.

Timeline: late 2018-late 2021
