Go Ape Treetop Adventure Course opened March 12 at Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve at 5901 Los Rios Blvd. in Plano.

The two-to-three hourlong adventure includes five ziplines over 2,436 feet, two Tarzan swings, rope ladders, bridges, spider’s webs and trapezes for children and adults.

Children 10 years of age and older and adults can swing from one end of the tree to the other on a rope or zipline across the course with the help of trained professionals who train, guide and help visitors complete the adventure course.

This is the company’s first course in Texas and 13th in the U.S. The city of Plano has partnered with the company to provide Plano families an outdoor activity in addition to visiting the Parks and Recreation facilities.
