Over the holiday weekend, there are plenty of events going on in the North Texas area, including holiday light shows, carriage rides and ice sculptures. Here are some events to keep in mind this weekend.

ICE! featuring ‘Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town’: The indoor walk-through holiday attraction is kept at 9 degrees and includes 2 million pounds of hand-carved ice sculptures, five two-story tall ice slides and a full nativity scene. The event runs from Dec. 23- Jan. 1. 10 a.m.-10 p.m. (Fri.-Sat.), 10 a.m.-9 p.m. (Sun.). Prices vary based on date and time. Christmas Past Exhibit: The Collin County Historical Society & Museum is hosting its Christmas Past Exhibit. The exhibit features letters to Santa Claus, Santa’s workbench with vintage toys, antique chocolate molds and more. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. (Dec. 23-24). Free. Historic 1911 Post Office, 300 E. Carriage Rides at Watters Creek: At this free event, attendees will ride take a horse drawn carriage drive to enjoy the lights and festive spirit. Deerfield Lights Display: Deerfield, located between Preston Road and Coit Road, will display holiday lights Dec. 23-25 from 7-11 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to donate to Children’s Medical Center’s Change for Children’s campaign.
