Studio Movie Grill Plano, located at 4721 W. Park Blvd., will reopen on Thursday, Dec. 17, after several months of renovations to add additional screens, a larger lobby area and new menu items.
The theater now occupies an area of 43,935 square feet with a total of 12 screens and 1,122 leather lounge seats with individual seat tables. The renovations also include a more spacious lobby area and a full bar.
This location was first built in 2000 and was in need of remodeling, said Susan Tierney, Studio Movie Grill media relations spokesperson. The goal of the renovations was to make the experience more comfortable and enjoyable with extra seating, screens and a variety of menu items to choose from, Tierney said.
The menu also features a Star Wars-themed brunch menu with dishes like the Obi-Wan Pancake Light Saber and the Death Star Bloody Mary in anticipation of the release of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," which comes out Dec. 18.
