W.G. Jones Forest celebrates 100 years

The Texas A&M Forest Service will host the W.G. Jones State Forest Centennial Celebration on Oct. 19 in Conroe.

What to know

The event will celebrate the 100 years of Texas state forests with activities for all ages, exhibits and emergency response vehicles. Visitors can also participate in the "Walk with a Doc" as part of its therapy hikes.
