Accountability ratings for school districts were released statewide by the Texas Education Agency on Aug. 15 for the 2021-22 school year.
Montgomery ISD was given an A rating, scoring 93 out of 100 possible points. According to a release from MISD, Superintendent Heath Morrison said he attributed the high overall rating to the quick return to traditional in-person learning for the district during the pandemic.
“In fall 2020, we emphasized having students return to in-person instruction as quickly as possible, which allowed them to stay on track, minimizing the impacts of COVID[-19]-related disruptions to their learning environments,” Morrison said in the release.
