Candidate filing for the Nov. 8 general election closed Aug. 22, and 10 candidates are running for the four open Willis ISD board of trustees positions, according to candidate filing information posted on the district's website.
Positions 1,3, 4 and 5 are up for election, with all but one of the incumbents running again. As of publication Aug. 23, candidate filings did not reflect that Trustee Robin Sproba had filed for re-election to Position 3.
Incumbent Kyle Hoegemeyer is running unopposed in Position 4, district information shows.
The drawing for ballot order occurred Aug. 22. Early voting is set for Oct. 24-Nov. 4, and Election Day taking place Nov. 8.
