Cedar Park officials are looking to vacate a portion of right of way on CR 178 to pave the way for future roadway and development projects in the area.

Council approved an ordinance on first reading to vacate 1.3 acres of right of way on CR 178 at its Nov. 30 meeting. The city will be releasing the portion of right of way to adjacent property owner RR Whitestone, LP.
Capital Projects Manager Chris Brickey said the release of right of way along the road is associated with:
- The Toro Grande North and South Boulevard improvement project
- The Brushy Creek North Fork Trail project
- A development agreement made back in June 2022
