Cedar Park, Leander, Liberty Hill homes spend less time on the market year over year in May

Many ZIP codes across the Cedar Park, far Northwest Austin, Leander and Liberty Hill area saw homes spend an average of about two to five weeks on the market in May, according to recently released data from the Austin Board of Realtors and Unlock MLS.

However, homes for sale in Liberty Hill ZIP code 78642 stayed on the market longer—an average of 80 days in May.

Despite this, ZIP code 78642, along with several other area ZIP codes, saw year-over-year declines in the number of days spent on the market in May.

More homes sold in Cedar Park this May compared to last May, according to the data, while Leander and Liberty Hill both saw fewer homes sales. Throughout the far Northwest Austin area, the percent change in homes sales was mixed.

Leander ZIP code 78641 saw the most homes sell at 144 in the May, and far Northwest Austin ZIP code 78726 had the fewest homes sell at 13.

The median price of those homes sold increased year over year in May in Cedar Park, Leander and Liberty Hill's three ZIP codes. However, it declined in the four far Northwest Austin ZIP codes.

Lastly, the most homes sold in the $300,000-$499,000 price range in May across the area, followed by $500,000-$699,000.
