A little over three months after Houston-based real estate company Alexander Grene Development broke ground on the $78 million mixed-use business park Lilac Field in League City, the project’s main roadways are now under construction.
The development is seeking its first industrial and retail tenants.
The local impact
Located between League City Parkway and SH 146, Lilac Field will span 24.5 acres and include 70,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space and 220,000 square feet of flexible warehouse space, according to previous reporting by Community Impact.
Once complete, Lilac Field will include 16 small warehouse units and seven retail and restaurant buildings, with warehouse tenants expected to include entertainment venues, gyms, childcare providers and breweries.
Developers are currently building the major roadways that will run through the project, according to a city news flash. Those roadways and the development’s first two industrial buildings are expected to be completed by early 2027, according to the city.
What happens next?
The developer is seeking industrial clients, such as aerospace and aviation suppliers, marine service groups, technology firms, energy service companies, advanced manufacturing users and specialty distributors to rent its warehouse space.
Shipley Do-Nuts signed to become a tenant in the development’s retail and restaurant space and is preparing to open in 2027, according to the news flash.
The developer is seeking tenants, including restaurants, premium coffee shops, specialty food concepts, beauty and wellness services, medical offices, family entertainment venues and high-end fitness and wellness centers, according to the news flash.
