Sugar Land Skeeters begin two-month summer league at Constellation Field on July 10
Sugar Land Skeeters President Chris Hill said when the coronavirus pandemic derailed the team's normal schedule, the organization looked for ways to stay engaged with the community.
The team upped its social media presence, and starting July 10, it will host the Constellation Energy League, in which a group of four teams will play 56 games in July and August at Constellation Field.

DATA: Over 3,100 Bay Area businesses receive at least $229 million in PPP loans
A total of 3,114 businesses in Clear Lake, League City, Webster, Seabrook and Kemah received Paycheck Protection Program loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration totaling at least $229.19 million, according to SBA data.
The loans saved at least 37,693 local jobs, according to the data.
Children’s Lighthouse now open in Seabrook
Children’s Lighthouse opened June 15 at 2551 Humble Road, Seabrook, adjacent to Ed White Elementary School. The 11,200-square-foot school sits on a 89,000-square-foot property and includes room for classroom and group setting work for about 200 students, indoor and outdoor play areas, and a kitchen that provides healthy meals and snacks.
The Nutrition Fix opened in League City Plaza at 194 Gulf Freeway, Ste. D3, League City, in early July.

Houston Methodist opened its newest medical offices near the Boardwalk at Towne Lake in early June at 9915 Barker Cypress Road, Bldg. 5, Ste. 200, Cypress. Houston Methodist Primary Care Group and Specialty Physician Group offers cardiology, orthopedics and sports medicine, women’s services and primary care.
