Ilana joined Community Impact Newspaper as summer intern in June 2022. She started college at the University of Maryland in 2020 and is set to graduate in 2024 with degrees in journalism and environmental science and policy. Previously, she interned at the Portland Phoenix and Hyattsville Life & Times.
